Our Mission:

The Mother Brook Community Group strives to bring together the residents and business owners who are interested in promoting a vital and thriving community among the neighborhoods connected by historic Mother Brook.

As the community evolves we will work on building bridges between our increasingly diverse neighborhoods, to strengthen community networks and to re-establish community values.

Our goal is to raise the quality of life for all residents of the Mother Brook community.

Community Group Profile:

We are a new organization in the town of Dedham, Massachusetts aimed at revitalizing the neighborhoods joined by the oldest man-made waterway in the United States: Mother Brook.

The organization recently hosted a summit at the Avery School discussing various issues aimed at improving the East Dedham area.

  • In May we got together to for a spring clean up the Motherbrook waterway, and you'd be amazed at the amount of trash we were able to clean out of there.

  • In June we brought the neighborhood together for a day of fun with friends at the Dedham Olde Tyme Faire at Condon Park. We hope that by the end of the afternoon people felt inspired enough to get involved in improving our community.

  • The Motherbrook Community enjoyed Flag Day in June where everyone was very patriotic and we had a wonderful parade.
